Introduction of Anxiety

Anxiety is mostly faced by teens I guess, however you can easily overcome anxiety by doing simple steps given below.

Anxiety is basically divided into two types:

  1. General Anxiety (basically called Anxiety)
  2. Social Anxiety

Try these when you are feeling anxious or stressed:

1. Take a time-out.

Distract yourself from the worry for 15 minutes by going for a walk, sitting in front of your balcony, making a cup of coffee or having a bath.

2. Eat well-balanced meals.

Do not skip any meals. Do keep healthful, energy-boosting snacks on hand. Try to habituate protein foods like Oats, Almonds, Cashew nuts, and other dry fruits as well.

3. Meditate

4. Get enough sleep.

Everyone needs to take a minimum rest of at least 7 to 8 hours. (In another post we will explain you clearly how to sleep when to sleep, how much time one should sleep and why everyone needs essential sleep)

6. Exercise daily.

One should do a minimum of half an hour to an hour of exercise every day.

7. Take deep breaths.

Inhale and exhale slowly. This relaxes your brain and makes you feel less anxious.

8. Count to 10 slowly.

1 to 10 numbers

Repeat, and count to 20 if necessary.
Take 3 big breaths and say 5 things you can see,4 things you can hear,3 things you can touch,2 things you can taste and 1 how you feel.

9. Do your best.

Have you tried it first? Not getting my point? Okay, I’ll go in deep. Have you ever tried to overcome anxiety? And succeeded or failed? Firstly, give your best in this schedule. Don’t think of failure. Automatically, you will see your success.

10. Visualize a happy place.

Imagine a beautiful place that was so close to your heart. Try to forget the situation you are right now. And sail in the dreams of your favorite place. This helps you in overcoming anxiety.

Simple, everyday things like a good night’s sleep, a wholesome meal and a walk are often the best cures for anxiety.

Overcome Social Anxiety

1. Speak To Someone.

Have you ever spoke to someone who is your friend or your cousin? When anxious try sharing your stuff with the persons who understand you more. In this case, it might be your family member, friend or your partner, etc. This makes you feel better than before.

2. Write a Letter.

Be as open and truthful with yourself as you can be. Then, a few days later you could read it back to yourself and imagine that someone else wrote it and think about how you would help them.

3. Smile

I used to find this tough and I sometimes still do, but it makes me feel happy when I smile at someone and they smile back at me.

4. Understand

Understand that your feeling is normal and you are not alone! Just because you cannot see it doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

5. Find Something to Focus On.

This gave me something to look forward to when I got home from school or at the weekend.

6. Trust Yourself.
